 Ranveer Singh is over the fact that people thought his father had paid Yash Raj Films to cast him in Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl, but it took him a long time to deal with the allegations. The Band Baaja Baraat star hoped that he would be an inspiration to industry-outsiders hoping to make it in a business overflowing with star kids, and was mortified when the rumour negated that whole aspect of his success story. The worst part was when guys messaged him on social networking sites saying that their father's also had a lot of money, and wanted to know how much he paid so they could also approach Aditya Chopra! For those of you who are wondering, Rohit's bride-to-be comes from a non-filmy background, and the 27-year-old calls her his “window to the outside world”. OOH LALA song of film THE DIRTY PICTURE at No. 5!
 Vidya Balan's The Dirty Picture comes in at no. 5 this week. The film is currently running to packed houses, and Vidya's fabulous performance has already made her next film the talk of the town. This one is Sujoy Ghosh's Kill Bill-inspired project Kahani, where she plays a pregnant woman in search of her missing husband. The film see's Vidya once-again pair up with Emraan Hashmi and is due to come out in March 2012. Apparently Sujoy wrote the script keeping Vidya in mind, and I wouldn't be surprised if a ton of other writers are doing the same these days! |

 The new Shiney Ahuja and Sayali Bhagat starrer landed in the controversy pile when Sayali's publicist Anant Narayan released a statement saying that Sayali had been sexually abused by Shiney during the making of the film. As it turns out, Anant was acting on his own and has now been arrested by Mumbai police after the actress herself lodged a complaint against him. I'm sure Shiney is breathing a sigh of relief!
