The Dirty Picture is India’s answer to the Oscar-nominated classic Boogie Nights!
Ekta launched the movie The Dirty Picture soon after her first collaboration with Milan Luthria went on to become a super-duper hit, and the entertainment tsarina spent most of its production period repeating that it wasn't a porn film. Now that the previews prove that fact, she's gone on record to state that The Dirty Picture is India 's answer to the Oscar-nominated classic Boogie Nights! |

Sonam joins the South Film industry with A. R Murugadoss' next Tamil venture!
Unlike Bollywood’s leading men, our female stars are quite happy to commute between South India and Mumbai. Now SonamKapoor has joined a list that includes the likes of Genelia D’Souza, Asin and KaajalAggarwal by signing on to be in A. R Murugadoss’ next Tamil venturing. Our own fashionista will romance Vijay in an action adventure titled MaalaiNerathuMazhaithuli, which might simultaneously be filmed in Hindi with Akshay Kumar in the lead. And yes, if the Bollytown version goes ahead then Sonam will headline that one too. Sounds like a good 2-for-1 deal! . |

Priyanka Chopra enjoys singing during her album recordings!
Priyanka Chopra is thoroughly enjoying her tryst with singing, and is going the whole nine yards to prove how serious she is about her still-to-launch music career. As you all probably know PC is dividing her time between acting and recording her debut album in LA, but what you might not know is that the ex-beauty queen and current movie diva is also co-writing her own songs! I guess its just a matter of time before we know for a fact what goes on in Priyanka’s head. Back to the movies, this is her next release Don 2! |

Anushka will act in YRF's Veer-Zaara's sequel!
Yash Chopra’s next film is set to roll in January 2012, and buzz around the project is getting louder and louder. As always there are as many hits as misses, and I think the latest piece of news is a serious miss. See, there’s talk that the project will be a sequel to Veer-Zaara with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma playing the femme fatales this time around. That makes absolutely no sense to me since the original featured Rani Mukherjee and PreityZinta, and ended when Shahrukh Khan’s character was a very old man. Since Yashji’s new movie is going to be a romantic drama, I doubt it’s going to be about a 60-year old widowed SRK falling in love again. Hopefully I won’t be proven wrong when the movie releases. Right now, this is Anushka in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. |

For instance, Farhan opted to shoot Don 2's prison sequence at a real prison in Malaysia . Apparently a whole section of the prison block was made available for filming, and special crew tee's were made to differentiate between the unit and the quaidi's! And just so you know, filming went off without a hitch! |

Ekta Kapoor is very confident about her forthcoming release The Dirty Picture
EktaKapoor is very confident about her forthcoming release The Dirty Picture. The entertainment queen has even gone on record to say that she would be surprised if the film doesn't get unbelievable critical acclaim and win her leading lady Vidya Balan a National Award. According to Ekta, The Dirty Picture is one of the most well written scripts she's ever come across, and its point is not to justify or criticize its lead protagonist's life but live it. Sounds like a steep task! |

YRF denies for any resemblance between Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and John Tucker Must Die
YRF is saying that Ladies vs Ricky Bahl's story hasn't been inspired by John Tucker Must Die, but it does seem to borrow elements from the angrezi film. The film is about a conman called Ricky who adopts a variety of personas to support an extravagant lifestyle by mooching off his many “girlfriends”. To the simple Delhistudent Dimple Chaddha he's the fitness trainer Sunny Singh. To the hardworking Lucknow widow he's the shy Iqbal Khan. And to the successful career woman RainaParulekar he's the art dealer Deven Shah. A chance encounter unites the three women, and they hatch a plan to get their money back. Enter Anushka Sharma, and like I said, it sounds a lot like John Tucker must die! |
