still in the top spot this week we have a indi-pop star
whose a hit everywhere he goes! I’m talking about Sukhbir,
who is back with a bang with Tere Naal Nachna! This man
with an accent was actually born in Jalandhar in Punjab,
but moved to Kenya even before he could speak. His father
Raghbir Singh was a gyaniji at the local Gurudwara, and
that’s where Sukhbir honed his singing skills practicing
kirtans on a harmonium! Luckily for him, his family also
spoke Punjabi at home, which is why he’s able to write
such lovely lyrics now. Go see what I mean as Sukhbir

Smita is one of South India’s biggest playback singers, and the lady’s also come out with some good solo material in the past. That’s why it was surprising when she took 3 years to come out with her latest self-titled album. According to Smita’s official website, the hiatus wasn’t all fun and games, and she actually took the time to train in gymnastics in top Mumbai and Los Angeles centres! In her opinion, her new found flexibility has helped enhance her singing and dancing abilities! This week Smita’s music comes in at no. 2, so maybe she’s actually right! At 7 this week we have Strings leaving Vikrannt one spot
behind thanks to their Koi Aanay Wala Hai number! The
video for the track features John Abraham as an angel,
and right now the actor could seriously use one in his
real life! John’s been dragged to court in Mumbai, with
the issue being a house he bought back in 2006. Now a
second party has claimed that they were sold the house
two months before it was sold to John, and Mumbai’s courts
are trying to settle the matter! I’ll keep you posted
on who gets to eventually call the place home sweet home!
