Sessions court has asked actress Sridevi to appear in court on March 24 to defend herself in a case of non-payment of commercial dues of Rs. 2.8 lakh to M/s. Foto Industries as a cheque of the same amount was dishonored. She will have to prove to court that Foto Industries is not entitled to sue her and that she cannot be called upon to defend the complaint. According to the law Sridevi and Boney Kapoor who oversee the day-to-day management of their production house, Sridevi Productions, are equally responsible for the dishonoring the cheque.
