Talking about the shift from television to films, Rajeev Khandelwal who recently made his debut with Aamir said, "It was a natural progression;



I was not really prepared for taking this plunge into films, I was doing television, I left my last show called “left right left” and this is second time I left any daily soap and I was pretty sure that people are not going to offer me work in television and I really worked out all the shows but as I always say something that somebody send me the script of “Aamir” and I love the script and for the first time I want to be the part of the film , part of the “Aamir”, I want to be… and I called the makers and I said, you know what… you can screen test me, you can take audition of me but I want to be the part of this film, so its kind of… it just happened and they said no and they said we are very sure we want you to do this film."

So that's how Rajeev made his transition. Going by the way his role shaped up and his performance in the film, one can say, Rajeev Khandelwal is here to stay. However, it will take some time till he gets his feet firm in the Bollywood ground.
