Since the beginning of 2009, Ranbir Kapoor has actually kicked his habit of smoking.

The young actor who is still in a strong passionate relationship with Deepika Padukone and it has heard that he has left smoking for his ladylove.

He had promised Deepika in advance that he would kick the butt with the coming of New Year as a birthday gift to Deepika who turned 23 on Monday. And the guy has so far stood by his word and not smoked a single cigarette ever since the clock moved from 2008 to 2009.

But how long this resolution lasts is something that remains to be seen. Ranbir has also been under the weather lately while shooting for Wake Up Sid.

He is also doing other big projects like Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Ranjiti with Katrina Kaif.

Deepika, on the other hand, is headed to Los Angeles for the universal premiere of her upcoming movie Chandni Chowk To China with Akshay Kumar.
