Actress Shilpa Shetty, who was in Puri for the shooting of a movie, has landed in a controversy. A day after the Sakhigopal Temple administration filed a complaint against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her production crew, the Assistant Endowment Commissioner investigated the issue.
Sources told the Endowment official held discussions with servitors and temple administration officials. Shilpa who was shooting for a TV series `Mahayatra’ was accused of forcibly entering the temple.
According to temple authorities, Shetty was told that entering the shrine with shoes and that use of camera was prohibited but the actress reportedly paid no heed to the priests.

The temple authorities have raised objections to Shetty entering the shrine with armed guards and lensmen who had their shoes on.
The temple authorities in their complaint alleged that Shilpa dishonored the shrine norms during her shooting in the temple premises on Thursday evening.
“It’s a very unfortunate situation. A group of people came for a shooting of a serial. Cameras, arms, guns, caps are prohibited in the premises of the temple,” told MLA of Satyawadi constituency.
Basing on the objection, Satyabadi Police had registered a station diary in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, the temple rituals were normal today. |
