The smash hit movie, Kaminey is back in a controversy. After fighting all odds, the movie surely made everyone go gaga over the masterpiece. But, it seems that this time the movie has more to face.

An FIR was filed against the director, Vishal Bharadwaj along with the producer for humiliating Lord Jagannath in the movie. The first information report is filed by the Jagannath Sena Sangathan in a police station at Puri. "Jagannath has been shown in poor light in the film. In a scene, it has been written 'Apna Hath Jagannath' in the toilet with a semi-clad model under the writing. It has hurt the sentiments of Jagannath devotees," told Somnath Khuntia, a member of the Sangathan.

Also, the Sangathan was seen protesting in Puri along with the report. "An FIR has been filed in the police station saying that some scenes in Kaminey have hurt religious sentiments. We have lodged a case and investigating the matter," told Sudhakar Sahu, in charge of Puri town police station.

The offensive segment has allegedly been edited out from the prints released in the state.
