We hear last month Shahid was able to save a cup of coffee from spilling despite being mobbed while promoting Kaminey. But this week it was different. Post the release of his smash hit film Kaminey, Shahid’s fan following has grown by leaps and bounds.

Lately, when Shahid walked across thousand of screaming fans during one of his multiplex visits, he not only lost his costly dark glasses, but his metallic coffee flask was also broken, thanks to his ever multiplying hysterical fans.

No surprises, there is a unexpected spurt of fans since his superstardom. So much so that his spot boy, make-up artist, manager and publicist are almost doubling up as his body guards and struggle to keep him safe from his fans.

It’s not easy to break a metallic flask even in normal conditions. This incident coupled with his sunglasses being picked up, and his team dealing with the increased crowds has lead Shahid to seriously consider hiring own bodyguards now.

“Yes I am currently in talks with some security agencies so as to make sure my team’s security is taken care of at such times,” Shahid Kapoor said.
