Asin and Deepika Padukone are known to be very good pals. Now, the situation has slightly changed. After Asin’s unexpected exit from Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se, Ashu has signed Deepika as his leading lady.

Deepika is said to be wrapping up some commercial shooting at this point. It is believed that she also had a verbal commitment with Ashu saying she will not issue any statements about her role without his permission.

Deepika will now fly to Goa to romance Abhishek Bachchan in this movie based on the Chittagong Uprising of 1930.

Ashutosh’s wife and producer Sunita Gowarikar confirmed the news saying, “Yes, Deepika is on. We are looking forward to working with her and we start shooting on the 9th of November.”
