The court at last passed a verdict on the rape case, where Madhur Bhandarkar allegedly had raped a model turned actress- Priti Jain. Five years back, this had created havoc in the industry and had put everyone on their toes. However, the court finally will stand a trial on the case.

"Today the magistrate said that FIRs are genuine and Madhur Bhandarkar will be put on trial," said Sushan Kunjuraman, who is Priti's lawyer.



"Madhur had promised to give me a lead role in his movies. However, he didn't offer me a lead role in any of his movies. At times when I refused, he raped me," Priti had alleged then.

She had also said that Bhadarkar had promised her marriage and also said that he’d make her a star.
