That superstar Salman Khan has a heart of gold and is always gung-ho about social issues is a known fact by now. The actor, who was till freshly in Colombo, has taken up the issue of education of underprivileged girls in a big way.

Salman visited Sri Lanka on two occasions. One for an awards ceremony and the second visit was for shooting of his forthcoming movie ‘Ready’ with Asin as the female lead. He was too overwhelmed by the love and adulation showered upon him by the locals and so he has taken up the cause very sincerely.

Previously, Salman had arranged for doctors to do cataract operations for the financially poor in the war-torn areas like Jaffna in Sri Lanka. And now, the actor plans to fund the education to a selected few right up to the college. His charity will set up a team to search for the talents who need this support.
