A reply has been filed by the producers of the upcoming movie ‘Dabangg’, starring Salman Khan and debutante Sonakshi Sinha, against a petition filed by an activist Rajkumar Tak seeking a removal of the word ‘Hindustan’ from the item-number ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’.

The Malaika Arora Khan and Salman Khan starring item-number has a line ‘Mai Hindustan hui, darling tere liye’, as in their answer, the production house Shree Ashtavinayak Productions has replied that the petition was filed with an “ulterior motive and deserves to be rejected".
The production house asserted that the word 'Hindustan' has not been used in a vulgar sense in the song.
"The vulgar item song shows one Munni dancing indecently surrounded by anti-social elements and one corrupt police officer who is in uniform. The song says 'Leh Hindustan hui darling tere liye',” told Rajkumar Tak in his petition.
The case will be heard on September 3, while the movie releases on September 10.
