'Comedy is the flavor of the season'. De Talli is smile, fun& hard core laughter. Movie will keep you tickling all the time & has good punches for laugh. In De Talli "life is defined by friendship & friendship is defined by life". Movie is made by keeping today youths demand in mind whether the casting or the name of the character. Film is all about friendship & has a good timing of comic scenes; it's not melodramatic or tears jerker. De Talli is not out & out comedy it has romance, emotions, and twist in the story, it has all the stuff which is needed to gather audiences "Tallis". Movie has a very interesting plot.
De Talli is about the gang of three friends Abhi (Aftab Shivdasani), Paglu (Ritesh Deshmukh) & Amu (Ayesha Takia), they are childhood friends who have grown together Amu is the only girl amongst the two, though they do not treat her like that. Abhi is a rich guy & he falls in love with any & every girl whether she is a shoplifter (Hrishita Bhatt) or a psychic (Neha Dhupia) who says "she can see dead people" & talks to invisible Chitrakoot.Paglu is a planner, who makes a new plan at every next minute but his plans are always flops, Amu is a girl next to door & has a tom boy look. Love sprouts in Amu's heart for Abhi, & Paglu make her to realize this but before Amu express her love, a drop-dead-gorgeous Kartika (Rimi Sen) enters in Abhi's life & her eye is on Abhi's wealth. But he is madly in her love & can't see the reality. Through various plans like kidnapping of Kartika, Amu & Paglu tries to show him the reality & in the climax Abhi came to know about the bad motive of the Kartika or Anjali, & finally he accept Amu.
Some of the scenes have very good dialogues & are very entertaining like after seeing Kartika, Abhi says "she's the one" than Paglu corrects him "she is not one, she is 31" Ayeesha Takia is getting better & better with every movie. Ritesh & Aftab has really performed very well to pull the audiences to the theatre. In coming years we can say Ritesh turning out to be a master of comedy. Rimi Sen is looking sizzling in her tanned make up. In supporting role Anupam Kher has performed superb & adds a good taste to comedy. Overall everybody has given convincing performance.
The movie has melodious & catchy songs by veteran Vishal & Shekhar especially the cameo by Mallaika Arora Khan & title track. After 'Shool', 'Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega' once again direction by E.Niwas is incredible. Abbas Tyrewala has handled screenplay with full expertise. The location is also the film's strength. Movie is very cool & & totally "Paisa Vasool". De Talli is delight to watch for its performances, songs & interesting storyline.
