MOVIE REVIEW

A film with debutants, ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’ is by Bollywood’s once ace producer Vashu Bhagnani, who has produced numerous movies with No.1 in title. So here is a movie where he is launching his son Jackky Bhagnani and Vaishali Desai, granddaughter of late Manmohan Desai. The film promises novelty because of the newcomers, but it’s hard to say the same about the film‘s music.

It could’ve been a superior launch for Jaccky Bhagnani with yet more substantial script. Oops, we’d really wondered what’s actually going on across the show time. Is it a tale or a showreel of Jaccky jumping from high altitudes, driving explosive cars and building most complex gadgets? On the pars, Vaishali just appears in short-dresses walks up and down like a catwalk. She has good looks, but that doesn’t mean this has to be the elements in a paranormal thriller.

Kal Kisne Dekha most likely could’ve been titled as ‘Kaun Dekhega Kal’. For sure, the film will run house-packed merely with the advance booking quotients and it wouldn’t sustain in markets more than a week.

The movie is about a young talented lad aspirant scientist Nihal (Jaccky Bhagnani) joins the best college in Mumbai. This chatty lad with non-stop questioning is first down-treated by his seniors and the girl Meesha (Vaishali) he’s fond off insults him a lot. But his intellect quotients much fascinate his professor Verma (Rishi Kapoor) who willingly accepts to be his guru. But things take a stunning turn, when Nihal is bounded to premonitory visions of future that includes Meesha’s life stuck with perilous situations.

Nihal now runs taking Meesha under his shelter and a beautiful love blossoms between them. In the meantime, Nihal’s exceptional gift of foreseeing future spreads across the media channels and they know it; A Boy from Chandigarh can foretell future.

Although it’s great media hype for this innocent guy, he’s innocent that his most trusted ones is trying to use his gift against him.

Sanjay Dutt’s appearance is to be seen to disbelieve. Akshay Kapoor suddenly disappears from the scene for no reason. Vivek Sharma had previous messed a film starring Bollywood’s two living legends Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan and he has now messed up the debut of two promising newcomers. He is technically good but lacks imagination. Sajid – Wajid’s music is a mix of good vivacious numbers and melody and the background score is efficient. However, just when the pace picks up during pre-climax, a sad song is integrated.

Jaccky does a superior job with much potentials and he should’ve opted for a better more script than this. Vaishali looks attractive well and nothing else you anticipate from her. Rishi Kapoor on an unpredicted role is a challenging attempt by this star. Rahul Dev is faultless while Ritesh Deshmukh so-called second hero has been totally wasted. Cameos by Sanjay Dutt, Akshay and yet more stars could’ve been much more pleasurable showcased as these quotients completely goes down easy. Musical score by Sajid-Wajid is average with few songs ringing in your eardrums even after the show. Johny’s cinematography is top class.

Overall, ‘Kal Kisne Dekha’ has a meaty script in hand, but the screenwriters have failed to pen a mesmerizing screenplay. Here and there you spot the area of meaninglessness vividly and audiences would move out of theatres with disappointed entertainment.
