Director Anees Bazmee has just completed shooting a number at discotheque Poison for his forthcoming film Welcome. What makes this song special is that it has Malaika Arora Khan dancing along with the film’s lead actors Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar. Anees Bazmee however clarifies that this song was not added as an item number just to enhance its prospects and audience appeal. “The song was always a part of the story that we had penned down. It was always Malaika whom we had in mind to do the number.”
Describing the mood of the song Bazmee says, “The wording of the song go Hot rasile tere hot rasile. It is music Anand Raaj Anand who have scored the tunes for this number. The mood is the kind as seen in bars and Malaika has donned the look of a bar dancer in the film. The story in the film shows that Anil and Nana are in a jovial mood and they come to bar to celebrate their joy.”
He adds, “Anil, Nana and Malaika is a very unconventional combination and I guess that’s what makes it special. We knew from day one that we wanted this kind of an odd combination. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting the song at Poison.
