This year has absolutely given Priyanka Chopra more than enough reasons to celebrate. It’s been pouring honors on the talented actress even after Ashutosh Gowariker showed a lack of faith in her acting abilities at an award function earlier this month.

The actress yesterday became the first ever Bollywood celebrity to be awarded the prestigious Jin Jue Award, at the International Film Festival in Shanghai, for her outstanding work. The actress was unable to receive the award by herself owing to a last minute cancellation because of a stomach infection.

This is the 10th award for the actress in the last six months, the most recent being the Best Actress Award the actress bagged at the IIFA Awards Show. At the Shanghai Film Festival, Priyanka was chosen by an international jury of seven famous professionals from the world film industry.

The actress spoke to the media saying that she was truly disappointed at being unable to attend the ceremony. She was excited that such a big international platform gave her the chance to present India and the Indian film fraternity to the world.

This apart, the now three-time Filmfare award winner also received an honour at the 10th FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) Frames this year for her contribution to entertainment and was also given a best brand ambassador award at Car and Bike Awards.

Priyanka is now busy with her upcoming projects- Whats Your Raashee? opposite Hurman Baweja and Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey along with Shahid Kapoor.
