It’s excellent news for all Munnabhai fans, as director Rajkumar Hirani will finally be making Munnabhai Chale Amerika, the third installment of the very successful Munnabhai franchise. The film will be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and will go on the floors by June 2010.

"Munnabhai Chale Amerika will go on the floors next year and we'll start shooting then onwards," Arshad told to a source over phone from Mumbai.

The actor sounded very thrilled about the script and said everything about the film is ready including the script only a certain amount of pre-production work was left.

The movie was held up after Sanjay Dutt, who essayed the title role of Munnabhai, after he was convicted for illegal possession of arms in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts. But now the actor is out on bail.
