His uncle Aamir Khan might be known for the in-depth research he does before taking up a project but actor Imran Khan tells that he goes by his mood while choosing roles.
The 25-year-old actor, who gets a heartthrob status with his debut college romance 'Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa', tells, "Roles depend on my mood, the idea is not to get bored. Doing different roles helps in challenging the actor within me."
Imran told that after doing two successive action films 'Kidnap' and 'Luck', he would prefer to do a light comedy movie.
The actor will be next seen in 'Luck' with debutante Shruti Haasan, directed by Soham Shah of 'Kaal' fame. "My character in 'Luck' belongs to the lower middle class and faces financial difficulties. He is in dire need of money and is ready to do anything for it," the actor, who was in the capital to promote his film, said.

Imran told he had to work hard to get the look for the action movie. "I had to build up my body to look equal to the character. There was also seven day scuba diving crash course as the movie involves a detailed underwater action sequence," the actor told.
Imran told that he was disappointed after his second movie 'Kidnap' failed at the box office. "I was disappointed after Kidnap initially but then realised that success or failure should not change the way we work or think. Passion should be the key," Imran told.
The actor might be doing a movie called 'Luck' but when quizzed on his belief in the luck factor he told, "When you think pragmatically, luck does not seem to exist but then there are certain unexplained things in life and you tend to believe in Luck."
Talking about his co-star Shruti, who is making a debut with the film, Imran said, "We have known each other since we were children and it was totally comfortable working with her."
Apart from acting, Imran also has a penchant for writing. "Writing gives me a space and I also like attending live events as they help me achieve a stronger connect with the people," told the young actor who regularly writes column for a daily.
