Ashmit Patel’s Pocket Money on the Sets of “Toss

To encourage and motivate the starcast of the film “Toss – A flip of destiny” the Director of the film Ramesh Khatkar decided upon a sum of Rs 500 as a token of appreciation to any actor who got their lines right at the first attempt as there were a few scenes which were complex and exhaustive.

The actor that got maximum number for Rs. 500 notes autographed by Ramesh is Ashmit Patel. Ashmit Patel got most of the scenes right and got the tag of one take artiste on the sets. This idea of Ramesh really worked as the cast slogged harder and harder to bag maximum notes. Ashmit was highly pleased and said that he felt like a child earning his pocket money.

Says Ramesh “The kind of scenes we were shooting was emotionally draining and to motivate the cast I decided to have a competition. It was not the prize that was the motivation but the idea definitely was.” Everybody was enthused by this and the result at the end of the day was optimum performance by all.
