Actress Vidya Balan, who celebrated her 31st birthday on Jan 1, is a lucky girl. The buzz is that highly praised lyricist Gulzar has picked Vidya Balan for his next directorial venture.

Reports suggest that Gulzar as well as his daughter Meghna are to direct a movie each. And both have zeroed in on Vidya to star in their movies. After Sunil Shetty-Tabu starrer ‘Hu Tu Tu’, Gulzar is set to return to direction in 2010.



Gulzar is so overwhelmed with Vidya’s work in ‘Paa’ and the forthcoming movie ‘Ishqiya’ that he calls her “truly an outstanding actress”.
