Rock On!! was to get a sequel ever since it became a hit and a trendsetter of sorts for the audience. The two male leads of the movie, Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal were even ready to start it off right away. However, director Abhishek Kapoor wasn’t too excited then. Now that the film won an award for the Best Hindi film, plans for a sequel are in full swing.

Farhan feels that he has been ready for the sequel and it’s just up to Abhishek. Arjun didn’t give up guitar lessons even after Rock On!! And has gotten better. Abhishek is now working on some story ideas for the movie. He spoke about how he didn’t want to do a sequel just because it seemed profitable. He wanted the sequel to have a solid story of its own which is why he’s working on a few ideas now.

In the meantime, Abhishek is going to be adapting Chetan Bhagat’s novel, The Three Mistakes of my Life into a movie for which he has got the author himself to help them out with getting the story in place. At the same time, he is also doing Sid, an English movie based on an original screenplay written by Ashok Banker for international audiences.
