It has been 11 years since RK Films' banner made any movie. The banner which was earlier famous for movies like ‘Premrog', ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili', etc. last churned out the flop ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalein' (1999). Post its failure, the banner was closed down.



Now after a break of 11 years, Ranbir Kapoor (son of Rishi Kapoor) is planning to make a movie under this banner. Earlier, Kareena Kapoor (Randhir Kapoor's daughter) was talked to regarding the comeback-film but she couldn't allot dates otherwise the revival could have been earlier.

The banner was found by late Raj Kapoor in 1951. His son, Randhir Kapoor includes, “We are working on the revival of the banner. We have met a few people and we will make an announcement soon.”

Now apparently Ranbir is keen to restart the banner. "Ranbir wants to revive the banner. He has been trying to convince Randhir and Rishi to do the same. There is a script which might be made to a movie and Ranbir might star in it”, tells a source. 

With a proactive guy like Ranbir with a strong fan base, the banner might just come back with a bang and we get to watch wonderful movies like the ones made in the past by the banner.
