Perhaps it is true to say that behind all successful man, there is a hand of a woman. And in case of eccentric director Mahesh Bhatt, this saying stands absolutely true as some of his masterpieces have been carved out to satisfy his guilt for cheating his wife.
“What people are ashamed of usually makes a good story. I was ashamed of cheating on my wife, of being a child born out of marriage, of being an alcoholic. These emotions created ‘Arth’, ‘Zakhm’ and ‘Daddy’,” told Mahesh Bhatt.

These movies were not only commercial hits of that time, but were also highly appreciated critically.
The rebel director is presently busy shooting for his next movie with Emraan Hashmi, ‘Crook: It’s Good To Be Bad’, based on racial attacks in Australia. |
