Long back it was reported that Vidya Balan will portray the deceased South sensation Silk Smitha on screen and the movie will be directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor. Luthria has already started working on this project.

The movie titled as ‘Dirty Picture’ is expected to go on floors by December and due to release in the second half of 2011. But the casting is being kept under wraps as of now.

Producer Ekta Kapoor tells, “I can’t say if Vidya will be in my film. All I can say is that Rajat Arora has been working on the script for two years and he has done a wonderful job.”
Luthria, in the meantime, is busy completing his other project ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai’ that has Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles.

About them, he tells, “Ajay and I share a great comfort level. And like Ajay, Emraan is also professional and disciplined. I enjoy working with both these actors.”

The movie is based on the lives of renowned dons Haji Mastan and Dawood Ibrahim and deals with the shifting of power from Haji to Dawood. Haji Mastan is being played by Ajay Devgn and Dawood is being played by Emraan Hashmi.

The movie that also stars Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai opposite Ajay and Emraan respectively, releases on the 29th of July.
