Rajnikanth made his public appearance in the maximum city after a gap of 15 years, and the occasion was no less than a celebration of the great man’s success and bequest. A humble Rajnikanth missed no chance to thank his fans, colleagues and co-stars at the music launch of his movie ‘Robot’.

“My friends laughed when I told them that I’m working on a movie opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and they were left amazed wondering why an actress like her made such a choice of working with an actor who’s so old,” he told.

Rajni was full of praise for Aishwarya, director Shankara, musician of the movie AR Rahman and the team. Rajni was overjoyed with the fact that the film’s music was launched by Amitabh Bachchan, his old friend and colleague.

"Amitabh is my inspiration, role model and guru. We have done movies like ‘Andha Kanoon’, ‘Giraftar’, ‘Hum’, and I can never forget the love, affection and care he showered on me. I have always valued his advice while taking important decisions” told Rajnikanth.

The music launch of the biggest-budget Indian film was attended by Oscar winners AR Rahman and Resul Pookutty, director of the movie Shankara, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Danny Denzongpa, Abhishek Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan including many personalities from the Bollywood fraternity.
