Believe it or not, but Rajinikanth was not the first choice of filmmaker Shankar, for Endhiran.

Shankar at first wanted either Kamal Hassan or ShahRukh Khan for the role opposite Aishwarya Rai. However things didn’t turn out as expected and the project was grabbed by Rajinikanth.

After giving hits like ‘Sivaji’ with director Shankar, Rajinikanth is really happy to work with him again.

Enthiran is a forthcoming Tamil science fiction movie co-written and directed by S. Shankar. The movie features Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles with A. R. Rahman working on background score and soundtrack.The film will be released worldwide on 24 September this year. It is known for being the most expensive Asian film ever made.
