Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has refused a hike in his security after he was threatened by the opponent of the Naxalite leader Paritala Ravi and one of the main characters in the movie, Ubala Reddy – whose family has filed a case against Ramu and has threatened to kill.

But in spite of the threat, Ram Gopal Varma is in Hyderabad roaming liberally and visiting his mother.

"This is not the first time I'm under threat. It has happened to me on several occasions. When in the history of assassinations have security guards been able to save anyone? The one who is determined to kill you will do,” told RGV.

"They've sent a long legal notice in which they express their misgivings about Ubala Reddy. But I want to know how they know how I've portrayed the character (played by Abhimanyu Singh) when they haven't seen a single frame?" he included.
"They're welcome to do what they like. My film remains unchanged,” RGV has confirmed.

The movie starring Vivek Oberoi and Suriya releases on October 22.
