Mr. White Mr. Black happens to be another piece in the comedy genre as many of its copartners this season. The movie is able to carve itself a niche in the minds of the audience. The storyline is basic, yet very well executed. The movie is about a small town boy Kishen (Arshad Warsi), who comes to Goa from Hoshiarpur to earn money in order to fund his sister’s education. In Goa he takes up the black world and starts deceiving people. With the assistance of Babu (Atul Kale) he masters the art. He then lives a happy life, till Gopi (Suniel Shetty), Kishen’s childhood friend comes into picture. In order to allocate a part of his land in Hoshiarpur to Kishen, Gopi, a simple man travels to Goa as his father’s last wish. Kishen refuses to go back. While Gopi moves around following Kishen to bring him on the right track, another mystery develops- the mystery of the lost diamonds, stolen by three beautiful girls. The girls are later reported to be in a resort. In the end, the entire cast gets to the resort in search of the diamonds.

Being his first movie since Julie, Deepak Shivdasani, manages to show his flair yet again. He manages to bring out the best from his actors. The music being a support for the story, is doing fairly well. The shooting has been done in Goa, making it a beautiful sight. With striking looks, Goa has been shown as a very impressive location. The dialogues are well structured and seem to add humor to the movie. The movie presents different storylines in one, and yet does not puzzle the audience’s brains.

The utter confusion in the film gives the director a chance to make the audience laugh! Without overdoing it, the director manages to give a clear picture of the story of the film. Already established his name in the field of comedy as Circuit, the Munnabhai star Arshad Warsi, without putting in deliberate efforts, manages to pull off the humor pretty well, impressing the audience. Suniel Shetty proves out to be the jack of all trades. Yet another time, he demonstrates his skills in comedy in such a way, that it looks no more than a cake-walk. Sandhya Mridul has been successful in putting up a funny accent to make an impact.

So if one is looking for a comedy not brain wracking, one must go and check out Mr. White Mr. Black.
