A tale of resorting to the unthinkable in dire circumstances. The film’s set reminds one of the amazing sets of his earlier film Parineeta. There is even the round dial phone used to establish an old era.





Rani and Konkana are playing siblings in the film who live a carefree life in Banaras; oblivious to the bad financial condition of their family. However due to a turn of events, the elder sibling Rani understands the plight and though, not educated enough, decides to take matters in her hands. She moves to Mumbai with an ambition to support her family back home. However lack of education does not open many doors to her. And the one door that’s open is beyond her honor.

But then she does what she thinks is best in that situation and succumbs to a life of compromise. While she starts earning enough to get her family out of financial stress her personal life crumbles. What happens next? Well you need to watch the film for that.
