MARIGOLD opens to find an American woman
traveling to India. Here she finds her life transformed in
the most unexpected ways by her experiences and adventures.
American actress Marigold [Ali Larter does an okay job, Salman
is his usual self] arrives in Goa for the shooting of her
low-budget Hollywood movie. When the movie doesnt work out
she finds herself stranded in Goa. She takes another oppurtunity
and gets herself cast in a small role in a Bollywood musical.
With her choreographer Prem aka Salman's help she tries to
do better work. Since Marigold is not a natural dancer, Prem's
help gives her renewed confidence with her experiments in
Bollywood. And there nurtures her love for Prem.
Director Willard Carrol paints everything from the costumes
to the sets in the film with vibrant colours.
However there's a twist. Will Marigold marry Prem or will
it be just an adventure gone astray.
