Let us introduce the hottest trio to hit the U.K Asian music scene, three Young men whose style has incorporated both the mainstream pop factor and urban appeal. Karim Ismail, Myan Mirza and Usman Mirza are 3MIX. Signed to record label Gorgeous Brown, 3MIX is a group that is created by 3 talented individuals, with 3 different styles, that work together to form original, unique, feel-good music.

3Mix found each other through fate in 2004, as Karim Ismail and Myan Mirza met at the auditions for Andrew Lloyd Weber’s west-end hit musical Bombay Dreams. From Bombay Dreams to fulfilling their own dreams both recognised each other’s passion for singing and decided to join forces, play with harmonies and take their forte to the next level. Keeping it in the fam, Myan saw the opportunity to include his talented cousin Usman Mirza to the group, creating the perfect blend to the recipe of a soon-to be sensation. The name 3 MIX is symbolic of all three artists, who bring to the group their own distinctive vocals and persona, to produce an innovative and fresh act.

The debut 3MIX single that is set to hit the charts is the exceptionally appealing ‘PUT IT ON ME’, which will be released on May 10th 2009. From the first listen I can already predict that this is a track that is destined to blast out of our stereos, pump on full volume in our cars, and have the clubbers and ravers shouting at the DJ to put 3MIX on the replay. With well-built verses and an extremely catchy chorus, the type that ends up getting stuck in your head to the point where it sounds like background music to all your thoughts, the song has a strong pop factor and has elements that are reminiscent of the Nsync, Backstreet Boys, American boy band era, minus the corny coordinated dance routines of course! Keeping the pop genre cool...Put It On Me has an addictive, impressive beat that represents the east- meets- west fusion which has enabled the track to successfully resemble a hybrid of two cultures in an effective manner. The 3MIX style differentiates from that of many UK Asian artists, ‘Put It On Me’ is a track that could be product of many alternative genres, attracting a multi-cultural audience, and this is what makes the group so unique.

So in my opinion they are definitely 3 talented young men to watch out for, a strong debut single like ‘Put It On Me’ with instant appeal, and a beat that makes you want to shake what your mama gave ya no matter where you are, they are destined for success and will have their listeners eagerly wanting more.
